I'm here in Vegas and totally enjoying myself. Is that really allowed? Yeppers I guess it is. Just wanted to share a quick shot with you that I took yesterday at a shoot I went on set up by the fabulous Ryan of Innovation Photography up North. My husband Jason and I have a really fun Valentines Day Tradition. We have always stayed home that night and boiled crab ad cooked steaks on the grill. It's one of my favorite things that we do all year. We had a fun night! Thanks jc. love you.

I am spotlighting one of my most favorite vendors in town today. Forevermore Events!
This is a very talented and commited group of women headed up by the HEAD WOMAN, Laura Stagg. Ladies, I'll tell you that if I were getting married right now, this is the company I would turn to. Check them out, they are fantastic. You need to go in and visit her beautiful storefront to get a feel for what Forevermore Events is REALLY about. I have not recommended a lot of vendors in the past, however, as I come across exceptional ones, I like to share them with my clients. I really dig their style! I had the opportunity to take some head shots for them a couple of weeks ago . . . thought I would share them with you. They are some sassy, beautiful women! You go girls!

My sis Kellee showed me this last week and I CANNOT get it out of my head. I think this kid is the most hilarious thing ever. I walk around working and cleaning my house singing this song. You will too! Dig the harmony.

I am catching up on some editing and albums this rainy St George morning and I just have to share this shot. I love the dreamy feel of it. It captures this beautiful couple in a very real way to me. Love ya Jessie and Doug! p.s. I love rain so much. I could totally love living in Seattle!

new year new couples.

I've had so much fun with consultations this week. I really enjoy my customers. Consultations are a little job interview for me. You get to sit down and hear what someone has planned for their wedding day. At that point, we start making plans for the photography. Selecting locations based on your vision. . . it's just fun. I just LOVE the type of personalities are always drawn to me. I love the people that I work with so much. I feel truly lucky.

As I was working on some photos of one of my very favorite couples from last year I saved this picture. It just makes me laugh. This was the most darling group of groomsmen. They got married on a VERY busy day at the Salt Lake Temple. There were parties waiting to get on these stairs . . . tapping their foot probably. We did these at the end for some fun. . . and it was:) Although I think the photographer behind me was giving me a dirty look. (We were only on the stairs for 13 minutes . . . usually I stay no more than 20). Anyway, this just got me all excited about the new couples I will be working with and all that will come with that! To those of you who have booked this month . . . welcome to the Photography by Shellee team! I think it's safe to say that we've found our cheering section. oh dear.

I was editing today and I ran across this picture that I thought would be kind of fun to share. I actually took it as a test shot into the water and I didn't even remember taking it. I loved the rippling! I have a thing for distortion. Call me crazy.
