Last week when I left my house to shoot this couple, the skies were really threatening and things were a bit blustery. They had traveled to St George for this session, so it was basically do or die! We went out and the wind gusts just settled down, and it was an absolutley gorgeous night. A storm piled up behind Pine Valley Mountain, and provided us with a deep beautiful sky. We ended up using the weather to our advantage and the results were pretty spectacular even if I do say so myself!
I have to explain these 3 shots. We got out of the cars at our first location and we were experimenting with looks and smiles and so forth. We took a couple smiling shots and then I said to them, "Let's try a serious face." Amber took a second and really tried to be serious. Finally she said, "I'm trying to be serious but I just can't stop smiling! I'm just so happy!" It was really sweet. The photographer in me just kept shooting, and as I edited through the pictures I smiled again at her happiness. It just beams out of her face! Ron is a lucky guy. :)
