Dr Doolittle . . .

I just had to share the rest of the zoo shots. Truth be told, I loathe the zoo. It's smelly and hot and I've just been there done that, but the rest of my family just loves it. Jason took all of these shots. He really had a good time! They turned out so fun! I think next time I'll send them alone to the zoo and look through these pictures on my phone. Sounds like a plan Stan!

Sheesh Jas!

We went to Hogle Zoo the other day with our boys and I was sooo not in the mood to drag a camera. Jason, always the photographer, drags one of my nicest cameras in with my GIANT telephoto lens. I was like "Good luck with that buddy because there is NO way on this green earth that I'm dragging camera equipment around the freakin' zoo on my day off". I was in a great mood. Can you tell? Anyway, we come home and I'm downloading some things off of the disk he used, and I was a little bit shocked at what I found. I'll have to share the rest when I have more time, but I thought this was a fitting shot near the 4th of July! Good work Jas!

Dog Days of Summer

I just had to share this shot. The other day my friend Megan let her 3 girls make a little popsicle stand in our neighborhood. These always pull at my heart strings. It's one of those things that you should experience as a kid! Well, Tait was lucky enough to get to tag along with the girls that day. It was HOT. They did so good though! Thanks for a fun time Hintons!

Baby Ryen

WARNING: Very LARGE post ahead. My little niece, Ryen is just the cutest thing ever. I spent the past week with my sister in Logan. Kellee is a really fabulous photographer in Cache Valley. All of you photographers out there will be able to relate to this situation. It's really hard to get pictures of your own kids taken. I mean REALLY HARD! It is totally like the cobbler who's children have no shoes. Wow, that is dramatic!

Anyway, Kellee wanted me to do Ryen's pictures, so that she could just be the mom and enjoy it. We went to one of Kel's awesome locations and used one of her new chairs and had so much fun! I ask you, WHAT 2 YEAR OLD LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE THIS? Not many! She's not baby Ryen any more. She is so photogenic. She looks just like her mom did when we were little. Ry Ry looks like her big brother Hunter too.

Kellee's kids are like my own. I just love them so much. We had to laugh not too long ago, we realized that Zach, my oldest's best friend is a little boy named Hunter, and Tait's bestest friend is a little girl in our neighborhood named Ryen. So we spend a lot of time with Hunter and Ryen. . . kinda.

Aunt Shellee Loves her little Ryen!

Happy 24th . . . on the 25th!

I really enjoy this time of year. I used to hate the heat and now I really like it. It feels good. You are in your air conditioned house and then you come out into the heat and it feels so good. Anyway, the 4th is fun, but we always seem to have more fun on the 24th! We really had a nice day yesterday and it ended with the fireworks over Washington. You can't quite see them from our lawn, but our neighbor's lawn works perfectly. I had my little boy on my lap while I was taking these shots and as I edited them I could just smell the chlorine and sunscreen in his hair and even in the dark I could see his tan skin and the fact that he was totally filthy. This was a sweet end to a great day.
