Image of the Weekend?

I shot Jenna and David's beautiful wedding today and since I'm on a shoe kick, I had to add this to the fun. She had the most AWESOME shoes. Jenna has a beautiful classic style and I just loved it. Watch for the rest of her shots in the coming weeks. Thanks Jenna and David. I wish you both so much happiness. . . They are honeymooning in Midway at the Homestead! LUCKY!

Image of the Week!

Let's face it. . . I'm not consistant enough to keep up on an image of the week, but that is just how I feel about this shot! It's my favorite that I have edited this week. I just love how this looks timeless. You never knew feet could be so interesting did you? Ok, women already know that feet can be VERY interesting. . . so to all the men out there, look how pretty! Ooohhh Ahhhh. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I'm off to Cedar for a fun wedding.

Mandy and Rob

I had the pleasure of working with Mandy and Rob a couple of weeks ago to shoot their engagement session. If you are a regular blog reader, you might remember that Mandy and Rob won my free wedding at the Ultimate Wedding Showcase back in January! I could not have asked for more wonderful, gracious people to work with. We have had so much fun together. The night we shot this I was SICK SICK SICK. I had eaten at Cafe Rio, and I was cursing them for making me sick, only to find when I got home that my hubby Jas was just as sick as I was and he hadn't eaten at Cafe Rio. . . SO, I made it through, and I think it turned out so well. Look at me all awesome even when I'm queasy. . . kidding. Like Mandy's mom said, "Mandy doesn't take a bad picture". It's so true. Anyway, enough gushing. . . I do love this couple. I'm looking forward to their wedding coming up. We're going to be working hard together doing their announcements as well. I think that Mandy and Rob are good carma coming back to me for giving away a wedding! This has been such a great experience that I will have to consider it again for the next event in January! Congrats to a really great couple. I just wish them all the happiness in the world. Here are a couple of my favorite shots.

Jessie and Doug

Wow this was a fun couple. Do they not look so much alike? We had a really nice time the other night. Spring is so hard with the windy in the late afternoon! Nearly every day there is a little wind storm in April. I remember last year I was trying to schedule a bride for some engagements and she had really long dark hair and I just didn't want to fight the wind! We rescheduled a couple of times to get some decent weather! Anyway, the same was true this day, it was one of those days that you are like. . . "Should we cancel?" It ended up being so nice and calm during the actual shoot. The photo gods smiled down on us and all was well! Thanks guys. Oh and Kokomo is Jessie's favorite song, so how could I resist?

Sara and Neil

This couple was so refreshing to hang out with. We had a really great couple of hours together shooting engagements. I love being with newly engaged couples. It is so fun. They are so great with each other. It's one of the biggest reasons that I enjoy my job so much. I do have to explain a couple of things and tell Sara something because I know she is a blog reader. First of all, Sara loves like Architecture type shots. She likes artsy stuff and black and whites and so do I. So we were talking on the way up to the engagements and Sara mentioned wanting to find a cool old cemetery to take some shots in. I was not sure I would like it, but I have to admit that it turned out kind of cool! I feel bad now because I even told Sara not to tell anyone that I took them to a cemetery for their engagements! Sara, good reminder that I need to keep my mind constantly open to new ideas. Your pictures really reflect your personality. I love them! My favorite one is the first one. Love it. Thanks guys!~
